Ingredients

- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 24 ounces marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cook ziti according to package instructions. Drain.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, salt, pepper, basil, and oregano.
- Combine cooked ziti with marinara sauce.
- Layer half the ziti in a baking dish. Spread ricotta mixture on top.
- Add remaining ziti and top with remaining mozzarella.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- You can add cooked ground beef or sausage for extra protein.
