Ingredients

  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook ziti according to package instructions. Drain.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, salt, pepper, basil, and oregano.
  4. Combine cooked ziti with marinara sauce.
  5. Layer half the ziti in a baking dish. Spread ricotta mixture on top.
  6. Add remaining ziti and top with remaining mozzarella.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • You can add cooked ground beef or sausage for extra protein.
