Ingredients

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, ketchup, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and ketchup for the glaze.
  5. Spread the glaze over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
