- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, ketchup, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and ketchup for the glaze.
- Spread the glaze over the meatloaf.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Resting time allows the juices to redistribute.
- Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans.
