Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter, for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half the potato slices in the dish.
  4. Sprinkle half the garlic, salt, pepper, and cheeses.
  5. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and seasonings.
  6. Pour the heavy cream evenly over the top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake for 15 more minutes until golden.
  9. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use a mandoline for even potato slices.
  • Let the dish rest to set before cutting.
