Beef and Cheese Stuffed Shells: 5 Steps to Comfort Food Joy

Ingredients

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  4. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mix the cooked ground beef into the cheese mixture.
  6. Stuff each pasta shell with the beef and cheese mixture.
  7. Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  8. Place the stuffed shells in the dish and top with remaining marinara sauce.
  9. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.

Notes

  • Use cooked shells to prevent them from breaking.
  • Feel free to add vegetables to the beef mixture.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving.
