- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Gradually whisk in milk, stirring until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
- Combine cooked macaroni, ground beef, and cheese sauce in a large baking dish.
- Spread sour cream over the top and mix gently.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add breadcrumbs on top before baking.
- You can use any type of cheese you prefer.
